Career builder in the limelight

Career builder is really important… I have read some points related to career builders addressed by a number of experts whom have agreed upon the following elements…

1. Increase your network… you have to get to know your colleagues in other departments and don’t stick yourself with few friends or with whom you work only… just be friendly with everyone whom you happened to meet up with…such a career network will help very much in dealing with projects…

2. In terms to the projects; if you happened to be selected as the leader of a particular project, you should then try to get your group members from different departments, instead of sticking yourself with a particular group members… besides, try to select those whom are well known for being hard working, reliable, and trusted…

3. Try to update your mind with new technologies… if you get to be knowledgeable in different areas, and present your current ideas as well as experiences, you will then become a well known in your working place and it will also be added to your proficiency status…but that doesn’t mean to get involved into every single detail, rather, try to present yourself with your current activities instead of showing up all over the place without making useful steps… I know some people who aim to be seen all over the place, and get themselves involved everywhere without accomplishing much in advance, and people get just tired of seeing their faces everywhere! It doesn’t have anything to do with jealousy… it is just that, people will respect you more if you keep on dealing with activities that are related to your major instead of interfering with outside events and especially if you no nothing about it or if it is outside your interests and activities…

If you have any comments on career builder you want to add, please don’t hesitate to share it with me…
