The best way for choosing your career

1. As a future career builder, you have to set your goals first… your goals are supposed to be directed with the world’s needs! In which, a career builder should look for the job that has future benefits…a career that can offer you a good payment + healthy life…

2. A successful career builder should choose the job he or she prefers, because, if the career builder has been forced into a particular field, the career builder will never be able to succeed! But that doesn’t mean the career builder should block his or her mind from any advices! He or she may listen and pay attention to others’ advices as well as experiences to gain more knowledge and become wiser than ever… BUT, the decision at the end should be YOURS…

3. If you have any doubts, you can always list a number of choices and imagine deciding otherwise!

4. Last but not least, the world is full of information and you can easily do a career search by getting your self with a computer and do some Google search… or make an appointment with a counselor or talk to a family member or a trusted friend or you can even set your question in Yahoo answers… REMEMBER, to become a successful career builder, you have to do your homework and get the job that is perfectly suite your ability and interests…

Career builder in the limelight

Career builder is really important… I have read some points related to career builders addressed by a number of experts whom have agreed upon the following elements…

1. Increase your network… you have to get to know your colleagues in other departments and don’t stick yourself with few friends or with whom you work only… just be friendly with everyone whom you happened to meet up with…such a career network will help very much in dealing with projects…

2. In terms to the projects; if you happened to be selected as the leader of a particular project, you should then try to get your group members from different departments, instead of sticking yourself with a particular group members… besides, try to select those whom are well known for being hard working, reliable, and trusted…

3. Try to update your mind with new technologies… if you get to be knowledgeable in different areas, and present your current ideas as well as experiences, you will then become a well known in your working place and it will also be added to your proficiency status…but that doesn’t mean to get involved into every single detail, rather, try to present yourself with your current activities instead of showing up all over the place without making useful steps… I know some people who aim to be seen all over the place, and get themselves involved everywhere without accomplishing much in advance, and people get just tired of seeing their faces everywhere! It doesn’t have anything to do with jealousy… it is just that, people will respect you more if you keep on dealing with activities that are related to your major instead of interfering with outside events and especially if you no nothing about it or if it is outside your interests and activities…

Developing self confidence

1. We have to change the way we think… we have to think positively, and try to never feel pessimistic… this point is considered to be among the most important elements of improving self confidence, because if we try to change the system of our thinking, we will then start to see the world with a positive eye! Besides, it will even help us to get rid of depression and stressfulness…

2. We have to watch the way we talk… we have to learn to speak positively and try to get rid of confusing rejections… in which, we don’t have to keep on saying “yes” and approve to every situation when we would rather say “no”! There is nothing wrong in disapproving to a person who asks a favor from us on a busy day! If we say “no”, doesn’t mean we hate this person, but rather, we refuse because we don’t have time to help on that particular day! Or instead of saying “no”, we can say something like this “well, I cannot make it right now as I’m in the middle of something, but I will try my best to make it sooner”…

3. We should try to stop judging ourselves based on what has happened… we don’t have to keep on blaming the world for our misfortune… rather, we have to change the way we act… acting positively is an important step toward building self confidence! Besides, keep on rewarding ourselves with every achievement… I myself for instance, would prefer to dance in my room with a loud music or eat a favorite sandwich, or have some chit chat with friends, or do anything that makes me happy and energized…

4. Last but not least, a counselor can always help us with whatever we have… it is really important to have some consultations with a counselor, trusted friend or a family member to open up our worries and doubts, as it is not healthy to keep it inside of us… we have to talk, and listen to others’ advices and experiences to surround ourselves with a healthy environment that is rich of comforts, smiles, and relaxations…
